Meeting called to order at 1:05pm

 

Old Business:

None

 

Peachtree City Schedule is out and is posted online.  We will begin racing on January 12, 2008.

 

Finances:  Reed

Closing balance is $8192.94

 

 

New Business

 

Vice President?? Do we need one? 

We have more of a need for an Asst Track Director.  Do we do away with VP and go to Assistant Track Director?

 

Claire Camarata is our new Social and Promotions Director.  She will also be helping Michelle Bradford for special events at the track.

 

Monster is the new energy drink for the Georgia State BMX Series.  As of 12-31-07 Bawls was no longer our sponsoring energy drink. ( This will give the state approximately $12,500.00 into the state for selling the drinks they are GIVING each Track) 

Monster will be giving each of the Georgia tracks 5 cases per month to sell out of the concession stand.  They will also be giving a Monster refrigerator, blowups, wristbands and other promotional items.  They will be at all State Series Events

 

Kovachi Wheels- Georgia State is proud to announce the joining of the Kovachi Wheels team to the list of  sponsors for the 2008 season. 

Kovachi Wheels will give away 1 set of custom wheels at each State Qualifier (approximate value- $7,000.00)

MCS is looking at sponsoring the state as well.

 

Maxxis Tires is back with a donation of 1000.00 in product.

Bicycles Unlimited is back with a $1000.00 as well, $500.00 cash and $500.00 gift certificates

 

Leap Program for 2008

The Peachtree City track will be promoting the Leap series this year and there will be special prizes for the top winners in each class, (Rookie, Novice, Expert, Girls and Cruisers).  Look for promotional posters on the opening day of racing on January 12.

 

There will be 3 clinics held at PTC BMX this upcoming year Bizarro, Stile Man, and Kovachi.  Stay tuned to the hotline and website for final dates.

 

January/ February we will be paving the berms and paving around concession stand. 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!

The cost is $1700.00.  That is 31 tons of asphalt, we pay for materials and not labor.

 

Wesley Huddleston will be installing the outdoor ceiling fans outside of the concession stand.

 

We are in desperate need of soil for the track.  If anyone knows where we can get it, please contact Anthony.

 

We are looking to purchase a used 4 wheeler for $1000-1500.00 

It needs to be 200cc or bigger, automatic, 4 stroke, preferably shaft-drive.  If anyone has any leads on this please contact Anthony.

 

Shayne is looking at picture frames to sell at the track with photos taken at the track.  Stay tuned for updates on this as well.
