OPEN FLOOR QUESTION AND
ANSWER FORUM:
SCHOLARSHIPS: At this time of year, students ask for letters of recommendation,
personal references of character, volunteer work and community service to
support their applications for scholarships (the BOB WARNIKE scholarship is a
BMX specific one) and grants for college. It is extremely difficult to do this
if that student has not been involved in the BMX track other than just racing
on raceday. So
encourage your teenager to get involved!
BICYCLES
UNLIMITED will sponsor us in 2007. 1/2 cash AND 1/2 product.
PLEASE LET SHAYNE
KNOW OF ANYONE THAT MAY WANT TO HELP SPONSOR TRACK.
We are still waiting to purchase the new computer – problem is that the new
windows-based NBL program is not ready, and the old DOS NBL program will not
run on the newer computer because the hardware does not recognize the LPT1
port (printer driver programs now
control printing, not hardwired on the motherboard any more.) We are not alone with this issue!!
